Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Sourwood Inn provides quiet and comfort in a beautiful, private mountain setting. The Inn is constructed of cedar and trimmed with stone and sits on 100-acres of hilly terrain at an elevation of 3,200 feet. It was created as a retreat where guests can experience the delights of the Blue Ridge Mountains and still easily access the arts and sophistication of downtown Asheville, located ten winding miles away. We also offer wonderful pacakages that can include guided fly fishing trips, horse back riding, Biltmore Estate passes, Wild Foraging expeditions and mid-week deals. There are 2 miles of nature hiking trails just outside the back door for your enjoyment!
We offer 12 beautifully appointed rooms. Every room includes a wood burning fireplace, a cozy bath with a view, a wonderfully comfortable bed. The Sassafras Cabin is a small queen-suite that sleeps 4, nestled in the woods a hundred yards from the main cabin.
Each day’s stay includes a full breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Dinner is served Thursday-Sunday by reservation only. Chef Kacia Stuart offers a local cuisine of Southern cooking with a french flair, consisting of local organic ingredients.
