Explore the past, visit the future at this world-renowed 200-acre former facility — developed by NASA in 1962. Visitors participate in hands-on activities and experience the center’s famous nighttime star-gazings. Enjoy hiking trails, campus tours, scenic mountain views, hands-on space and earth science exhibit galleries, a nature center and more. PARI is open to the public for self-guided tours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Closed Sunday.
Scheduled guided tours are available each Wednesday at 2 p.m. and each Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Volunteer docents provide commentary on PARI’s history as a pivotal part of the pioneering early days of our nation’s space program and guide you to some behind-the-scenes looks at the historic instruments that still populate the campus. The general admission price covers the docent tours, but reservations are suggested.
