Meet photographer Halley Burleson – the talented young woman responsible for our homepage photography! Born and raised in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Halley has spent most of her life, hiking, kayaking and horseback riding in these beautiful blue hills. She has a passion for the great outdoors and it was from that she developed her passion for photography.
In February of 2012, Halley had the opportunity to put her hobby to great use. She used her photography to raise money for her first mission trip to Arequipa. Peru. Since then Halley has been able to send donations to, a feeding program for underprivileged children, Mitchell County Animal Shelter, and JAARS Inc. This has all been possible because of her amazing photography. It is now her goal each year to pick one organization that she truly believes in to donate to. This year it will be Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing in Asheville, NC. For more information about this project please visit: http://www.projecthealingwaters.org/
