The second annual Mountain Acoustics Luthier Invitational celebrates hand-built stringed instruments with an emphasis on the artists who craft them and the musicians who play them. Featuring some of the most talented luthiers in the region, the three-day event includes concerts, exhibits, workshops and more. Jay Lichty of Tryon, NC, once again serves as host luthier.
Festivities kick off Friday evening with a luthier jam. The public is invited to explore exhibits and workshops throughout the day Saturday and Sunday. Sunday at 8 p.m., husband-and-wife Grammy-winning duo Mark and Maggie O’Connor take the stage.
