December 31, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm$5 – $10
The parking lot at the Hendersonville Visitor Center transforms into a winter wonderland for the holidays. The centerpiece is the iceless skating rink. The synthetic surface is made from special polymers so it can be enjoyed at any temperature; its smoothness also makes it easier for beginners.
Skating sessions are 45 minutes, and the rink can accommodate 40 people at a time.
In addition to the skating rink, kids can visit Santa Claus on the Visitor Center stage. Santa will greet children Dec. 19-24, from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. each day. Enjoy roasting marshmallows for s’mores, sipping hot chocolate and playing games of corn hole.
Horse-drawn carriage rides leave from the Visitor Center and carry passengers through downtown to admire the light displays and storefront decorations. Carriage rides take place on Dec.16, 23, 30 and 31, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Cost is $5 per person.
