Classic Movie Night: “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre”

April 24, 2017 @ 11:00 pm - 11:15 pm

The Burnsville Little Theater Classic Movie Club has selected director John Huston’s 1948 Academy Award-winning film “The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre” for its next showing. One film critic called “Treasure Of The Sierra Madre” one of the best things Hollywood has done since movies learned to talk. Human weakness is constantly on display in this classic tale of gold, greed, betrayal and murder. “The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre” is an adventure story that is never about the gold but about character. What makes this movie great is not only the story, but also the great performances of the three leading actors: Humphrey Bogart, Walter Huston and Tim Holt. The film also has one of the most famous lines in movie history, “Badges? We don’t need no stinking badges.”
