Apple Country Cider Jam
April 22, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm$25
Henderson County has long been known as apple country. The county is the largest apple producer in North Carolina, which ranks seventh in the nation in apple production. That abundance of orchards makes it a natural fit for the growing hard cider industry. Three hard cideries now operate in the county.
To celebrate handcrafted hard cider, downtown Hendersonville will host the inaugural Apple Country Cider Jam. The ticketed tasting event showcases approximately 10 North Carolina cideries. Food trucks will offer fresh fare, and top-notch musical acts, including well-known bluegrass band Balsam Range, will provide entertainment.
Participating cideries must be located in North Carolina and use apples grown in the state. Attendees will be able to sample cider, ask questions and learn more about the craft.
Balsam Range headlines the concert lineup. The bluegrass group has earned 10 awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. The Josh Daniel-Mark Schimick Project and Underhill Rose, both North Carolina-based bands, will also perform.
Tickets are on sale now for $25. Non-alcohol tickets will be available at the gate for $10.
