The Orchard also preserves the fascinating history of the land with storytelling hayrides, local music performed for free each weekend, and arts, crafts, books and food items, true to the mountain heritage. Located directly on the Blue Ridge Parkway and easily accessible from Asheville, this is a perfect destination for a fun and relaxing day trip for the whole family. Open 10am - 6pm Monday - Saturday, and 12pm - 6pm Sunday late May through early November. Closed on Tuesdays through September.

Brevard Music Center

For more than 70 years, the Brevard Music Center has entertained audiences through its more than 80 performances each summer. Concert offerings range from orchestra to opera, chamber music to pops. Music lovers travel from across the country to enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains while listening to world-class performances at the Music Center's 1800-seat, open-sided auditorium. Many come early to enjoy a picnic on the grounds or have dinner at the adjoining covered Café con Brio. This unique historic site is home of the first forestry school in America, The Biltmore Forest School- 1898-1913.
